What is Modula?
Take a look at the completed Modula puzzle on the right hand side.
The puzzle contains white hexagons and shaded hexagons. Each number from 0 to 9 appears once in each shaded and white hexagon.
The number that appears in each white hexagon is equal to the total of the numbers in the surrounding shaded hexagons ... however only the last digit of the total is used.
As an example, look at the white hexagon containing the number 1. The surrounding shaded hexagons contain the numbers 0, 5, 7 and 9. The total of this is 0+5+7+9=21. Since we only use the last digit of the total, we get the answer 1.
It is as simple as that. The actual puzzle only provides you with some of the numbers. Hover over the grid to see the starting puzzle.
